We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Supervisor to oversee our HVAC & Plumbing service team. The ideal candidate for the Field Service Supervisor role will be a highly skilled and experienced professional who can not only lead and manage a team of field service technicians but also perform independently when needed. The candidate will have a proven track record of achieving top-notch performance numbers and will serve as an exemplary role model for the team. Strong technical expertise in HVAC and Plumbing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to perform at a high level individually are essential for success in this role. The Field Service Supervisor will be responsible for managing our team of service technicians, providing technical guidance, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
This role will require a strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems, excellent leadership and organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Manage and supervise a team of service technicians, providing guidance and coaching as needed.
- Conduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations and local codes.
- Provide technical expertise and support to field service technicians, assisting with complex repairs and installations as needed.
- Serve as the technical expert and resource for advanced level diagnostics.
- Improve company image and customer experience by reducing the amount of warranty calls and callbacks.
- Maintain and update service records, work orders, and other documentation using company software and tools.
- Monitor and report on team performance metrics, such as productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Generate service revenue necessary to achieve monthly revenue goals utilizing our processes and systems.
- Master, implement and monitor our customer service processes.
- Work with management team to review parts acquisition needs for service technicians.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Work with scheduling team to coordinate and schedule service calls, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely completion of work orders.
- Maintain a rational and objective demeanor under stressful situations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and provide recommendations for process improvements and training opportunities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or vocational training in HVAC preferred.
- Proven experience in HVAC and plumbing service, repair, and installation, with at least 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong organizational and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Total range $85,000 – $125,000
- Base salary plus Performance-based bonuses, based on the team’s performance and meeting or exceeding performance targets.
